The purpose of this consultation is to seek views on draft proposals from Defra and the Welsh Assembly Government on the removal and creation of various exemptions from license control. The proposed new Regulations to bring these proposals into force will implement the remaining abstraction provisions of the Water Act 2003.

The closing date for this consultation is 22 July 2009.
