Having a statutory senior traffic commissioner marks an important milestone in the reform of the traffic commissioner regime. It gives what was previously only an administrative post a clear leadership role in directing and guiding traffic commissioners in the exercise of their functions. This three-month consultation exercise seeks views on the content of proposed guidance from the Secretary of State to the senior traffic commissioner.

Timeframe

This consultation started around the 30th April 2009 and ends on 21st July 2009.
