This consultation looks at proposed changes to the law regarding alcohol sales.
We'd like your opinions on a proposed new code of practice for alcohol retailers. We want to ensure those who sell and supply alcohol do so responsibly, in order to prevent alcohol-related crime, disorder and nuisance.
The new code will contain both mandatory and optional local licensing rules and requirements.
We want to hear views, experiences and evidence from members of the public, those who retail alcohol and represent the alcohol retail industry, licensing authorities and the police who have to enforce licensing policy, and health bodies and the third sector who have to deal with the impact of alcohol-related harm.
