Animal Health, on behalf of Defra, has launched the annual review of its Contingency Plan for Exotic Disease of Animals. This is an annual review, which invites the views of stakeholders, operational partners and all interested parties. The Animal Health Act 2002 requires that contingency plans are held for Foot and Mouth Disease, Avian Influenza and Newcastle Disease, and that they are reviewed annually and if necessary, updated.
Defra invites your comments on both the content and the format of these documents by the closing date of 21 September 2009.
