The Government announced a major package of reforms to the business tax system in Budget 2007 to enhance the international competitiveness of the UK, encourage investment, promote innovation and ensure fairness across the tax system. This technical note contains draft legislation on the key elements of the capital allowances changes in this package, reflecting comments received in response to the 'Business tax reform: capital allowances changes' consultation.
